Hello Everybody! This week we’d like to welcome our newest North Carolina Vineyard – Carolina Heritage Vineyard and Winery – located near Elkin, NC. Carolina Heritage is the states only totally organic winery. This means the winery uses only organic yeasts, organic nutrients, and non-genetically-modified sugar in its production of wine, while it avoids using wooden barrels, caustic cleaning agents, and pesticides. Carolina Heritage also use very little residual sugar in their wines – most having only 1%, which is very low in comparison to similar wines using 10% and above. And the wine is delicious. Put it on you list of things to buy at the Butter Bean.

Hello Everybody! Don’t forget to stop by for all your cookout needs. We’ve got huge rib eyes at only $6.50 a lb and hamburger meat at only $5.25 a lb. – all grass fed beef with no hormones added. We have fresh corn from Boyd’s Farm – ready to be soaked in water and put on the grill. We also have red and white potatoes for the finishing touch.
 
For that special dessert we have fresh blackberries – delicious by themselves or perfect for ice cream or cobbler. New in the store this week we have sweets and treats from Terri Lynn – a sweet and salty trail mix, chocolate covered malted milk balls, and gummi bears.
 
As always we have an abundance of squash, tomatoes, okra, peppers and eggplant.
 
We’d like to welcome our newest artists – Caroline and Sarah – photographers extraordinaire. Take a few minutes while you’re here to browse through some of their work. Come On Out!

Hello everybody! Well the beef was a big hit – we ran out before everyone could get theirs. We will be getting more this Saturday so come on by. Yes, the beef is all grass fed and the pork is pasture raised and absolutely NO HORMONES ADDED!

New this week we’ll have local watermelon and magnum cantaloupe – just ripe, sweet and juicy for these hot summer days. We have lots of tomatoes in lots of varieties – Cherokee Purples, Heirloom, Carolina Golds, Big Boys, Chocolates, Tommy Toes, and Golden Bells – plus homegrown right from our garden.

Don’t forget … Thursdays and Fridays … Half Off Veggie Days … don’t miss out.

Our Saturday hours have changed to better accommodate busy schedules, we are now open 9a.m. to 4p.m. on Saturdays so come on out.
