Welcome

Greetings everyone!

Come on out!

Hello Everybody! New from the market this week – Sweet Potatoes – in 3 varieties: Coventry, Beauregard, and White – all amazingly fresh and tasty. We also have Crowder Peas, and for those who don’t know what to do with them, 1stshell them –very simple (you can do this while watching TV); next put them in a pot with seasoning veggies like onion, celery, green peppers, and maybe bacon or ham for taste, cover with water; then cover and cook till tender. As easy as 1, 2, 3!

September wine of the month will be The Grove Winery and Vineyards. Every Saturday is free wine tasting and we will be featuring Traminette and Jug House Blush Wines all month.

The town of Huntersville will be kicking off it’s 3 month – Fall Into Huntersville – with a Family Fall Kick Off Event, September 3rd, 10am – 2pm. There will be live music, food, artists, pony rides, and more. We will be participating that Saurday. For more info go to fallintohuntersville.com.

Come On Out!

Come On Out!

Hello Everybody! Did you know we sell stone ground grits? Yes, these are the old fashioned course ground grits your grandmother would have prepared back in the day. Made by Old Scholl Mill of Albemarle NC, their grits are considered “authentic antique food”. Cook you up some for breakfast with fresh eggs and fresh pork sausage, or some Country Supper Cheese Grits Casserole to have with supper. YUM!

Carolina Heritage is our Winery of the month and we are having free wine tastings on Saturdays! This month we are tasting Burch-Blue and Carlos Wines from North Carolina’s only all organic winery – Carolina Heritage.

We have fresh North Carolina veggies every Saturday around noon. We mark down our previous week’s veggies to .25 a pound for a quick sale. What a bargain for farm fresh veggies! Come on out!

Take Care,
The Bean
