Hello Everybody! The pumpkins have arrived! And we’ve got ‘em in all sizes – from the little baby size, to the extra large Jack-O-Lantern size. All local…. All fresh from the farm.
New to the store is Laurel Gray Vineyards. Located in the Yadkin Valley, Laurel Gray offers award winning French variety wines and we are delighted they have joined our list of North Carolina Wineries and Vineyards we sell.
In addition to wine, Laurel Gray Artisan Vinaigrette is also now available in our store. It is a combination of the finest extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Together they are blended with organically grown herbs from their farm to produce a sauce that is absolutely addictive. Use as a marinade on pork loin, chicken, fish, or fresh seasonal vegetables. Ask for a sample next time you’re in.
Today is the first day of fall and what could be better than a nice juicy apple for a snack or baked in a pie – we have plenty of apples!
Also new, we have a shitake block that will grow your own shitake mushrooms. We have one in the store that we are watering and taking care of and can already see the beginnings of some mushrooms. We plan to bring more into the store to sell.

Hello Everybody! What a sudden drop in the temperature! And what would be better on a chilly night than a cup of hot apple cider. We’ve got the K-cups – a dozen to a box – marked 20% off this week. We also have plenty of apples – crisp, sweet, and juicy – just waiting to be baked in a pie or an amazing apple crisp. We have all the fixins’ here in stock.
We also have huge Carolina Peaches, perfect alone, served with cream, or in a pie or crisp as well. There’s nothing like down home goodness.
We have our week-old veggies marked half price – they’re still as fresh as or fresher than the supermarket.
This week we got some domestic Mallard duck eggs which are wonderful for baking!
We have restocked our shelves with flours, mixes, and cookie mixes; as well as an array of Gourmet snack items. Get you some today!
After a short absence, we are finally fully stocked with that mineral-rich Midas Water – from right here in Huntersville – going back over a hundred years ago. A bottle or two a day will sure to help cure whatever ales you!
Don’t forget we have grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, and free range chicken – all raised with no hormones or byproducts. What a big difference in the taste of these naturally raised meats. We also have country ham and 7 varieties of dry beans to choose from.
Come On Out!

Hello everybody! Heirloom tomatoes. Yes, we’ve got ‘em ripe and ready for salads, sandwiches, or just by themselves. Fresh from the farm, this week our heirloom varieties are: Pink Girl, Mr Green Stripey, Brandy Wine, and Cerokee Purples. We also have Carolina Golds for those who prefer a less acidic tomato.
We have 2 different Greens this week – Savannah Greens and Collards. Add some cornbread and a tomato sandwich and you’ve got a good end of summer meal.
And finally here … our produce of the month … Muscadines and Scuppernongs … a big favorite at the Bean!
With Fall just ahead of us, we have Mutza Apples (and caramel wraps!) to spice up these cooler Football Nights. And by September’s end we will have locally grown pumpkins – in all sizes – to choose from.
Just a reminder, the Grove Winery and Vineyards is our Wine of the Month, with free tastings on Saturdays.
